What you’ll find in each module

Each of the five modules opens with a Physics Mystery — a real-world scenario, no setup, no hints. Just: what is happening here, and why? You work through it before the explanation arrives. That’s intentional. The thinking has to come before the answer.

Inside every module:

Video instruction — Robin guides you through each concept the same way she’d walk a live group through it: question first, discovery second, explanation last.

Investigation activities — hands-on and thought-based challenges that build the reasoning skills, not just the content knowledge.

Module 1: Seeing Physics Everywhere

Physics isn’t in the textbook. It’s in the pool, the kitchen, the skate ramp, the spin of a dancer. This module resets the frame entirely: you have been doing physics your whole life. Now you start paying attention to it.


Module 2: Modeling Problems

Before you write an equation, you need to know what question you’re actually answering. This module teaches the skill that separates students who understand physics from students who hunt for formulas: how to read a problem and know what it’s really asking.


Module 3: Does It Pass the Laugh Test?

If your answer says the car is going 800 miles per hour, something went wrong before the math. This module builds the habit of checking whether an answer makes sense — and knowing when to go back.


Module 4: Limitations

Every model in physics is a simplification. Every law has a boundary. Knowing where the rules stop being the rules is part of thinking like a physicist — and part of knowing when to trust your own reasoning.


Module 5: Thinking Like a Scientist

The capstone. You take on a real-world scenario — the kind with no obvious answer, no formula sheet, and no one to tell you that you’re right. You work through it using everything from the first four modules. Then you check your reasoning, challenge your assumptions, and see where it holds up.

How long does each module take? Plan for approximately 60–90 minutes per module, depending on how deeply you engage with the investigation activities. There’s no timer. Take the time you need.
