The Science Behind Centripetal Education
In early 2025, Centripetal Education was born from a simple observation: every student deserves access to quality physics education that meets their unique needs.
After 20 years teaching physics in public schools and 15 years as The Online Physics Teacher, I noticed a pattern among homeschool families. Many either avoided physics altogether or sought outside resources due to the challenges of teaching this complex subject at home.
My experience as both a classroom teacher and online tutor revealed that with the right approach, physics can be accessible, engaging, and even exciting for students of all learning styles and backgrounds.
With a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Masters of Education: Physics Education, and New York State teaching licenses in Physics, Earth Science, and Mathematics, I’ve dedicated my career to making physics understandable. Now, I’m bringing that expertise directly to homeschool families.

With over three decades of experience in physics education both in traditional classrooms and as an online tutor, Robin has worked with thousands of students across diverse educational backgrounds.
Her passion lies in helping students have their “lightbulb moments”—those instances when a challenging concept suddenly becomes clear. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing a student transition from confusion to confidence.
